Partner with Brian Cannon LLC to navigate different Medicare Insurance coverage options

Step 1: Getting the Process Started

Our Initial Consultation (can happen at any time but is encouraged to begin at least 3 months out of your 65th birthday.)

  • We begin by learning more about your current situation, discovering which options are, best for you. as well as providing a general overview of Medicare.

Step 2: 3 Months Out: SSA Applications For Parts A and/or B

  • Application is processed through SSA https://secure.ssa.gov/iClaim/rib
  • If additional assistance is needed, we will certainly be available to help you with this application process or any questions you may have.

Step 3: 1 Month Out: Finalization of Plans

  • We will finalize your Medicare plan selection and application process to ensure you are choosing the plan that best suits your needs.

Step 4: 65th Birthday - Schedule Your 'Welcome to Medicare' Visit With Your Doctor

  •  During this visit, your doctor or other health care provider will: Review your medical and social history related to your health. Give you information about preventive services, including certain screenings, shots or vaccines (like flu, pneumococcal, and other recommended immunizations).

Important Dates and Times That We Can Modify Your Plan

MAPD (Medicare Advantage Plans) & Part D Drug Plans:

  • Annually from October 15th - December 7th, we can search for a different plan if your needs change. All changes will take effect on January 1st of the following year.

Medicare Supplement Plans:

  • There are no set enrollment periods with supplement plans however generally, we compare these every 2 years or so.
    • If you are new to Medicare, you have 6 months from your Part B start date to change your supplement company and/or plan with no medical questions asked. If you want to change your plan outside of that time frame, you would most likely be subject to a medical underwriting process and approval.
